A+ = 98% and above; A = 95% - 97%; A- = 93% - 94%
B+ = 90% - 92%; B = 87% - 89%; B- = 85% - 86%
C+ = 82% - 84%; C = 79% - 81%; C- = 77% - 78%
D+ = 74% - 76%; D = 72% - 73%; D- = 70% - 71%
F = below 70%
Percentage grades will be determined by dividing the number of points received by the total number of points available.
1st and 3rd quarter grades are progress grades toward the semester grade.

The student has three days to make up any assignments (including tests) for each class missed due to an excused absence. Assignments turned in after three days will be considered late.
Work assigned prior to an absence that was due during the student's absence must be turned in the first class period upon return or it will be considered late.
Work missed due to an unexcused absence will be given the grade of zero.
Students that are in school are expected to be in class unless they have been excused by me.
Advance makeup slips should be presented to me at least three days prior to the absence for prescheduled absences. All class work should be completed and turned in prior to the absence or it will be considered late.
It is the student's responsibility to obtain makeup slips for absences and submit them to me upon return. Completing the makeup work is the sole responsibility of the student. Extra help (outside normal class time) may be needed to complete the makeup work. The student should not disrupt regular class time requesting help with makeup work.
Any exceptions to the above policy will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Unless specified otherwise, all homework assignments are due the beginning of class following day.
Assignments turned in late will be given half credit.
Students are encouraged to work together on homework assignments but copying someone else's assignment is not allowed.
Students are expected to attempt all problems assigned as homework. The work shown on the student's paper will be proof of attempting the problem. Writing down the problem number does not constitute an attempt.
Partial credit will be given for incomplete assignments.
